NSF protest against PSC, demands separate statehood for Jammu

JAMMU: National Secular Forum (NSF) protest against JKPSC and torched the effigy Chairman of J&K Public Service Commission (PSC). Protesters, led by its State President Dr.Vikas Sharma.Addressing the gathering here today, National Secular Forum (NSF) State President Dr Vikas Sharma said that Statehood for Jammu is only way out to end the 67 years long discrimination with the people at Jammu region.Dr Vikas Sharma said that out of total posts of 34 of 10+2 lecturer in Urdu, 30 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 04 candidates have been selected from Jammu. In the RBA category out of total of 11 posts 07 candidates are from Kashmir province while 04 is from Jammu.Dr Vikas Sharma also said that out of total posts of 29 of 10+2 lecturer in English,25 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 04 candidates have been selected from Jammu. In the RBA category out of total of 10 posts 07 candidates are from Kashmir province while 03 is from Jammu.Dr Vikas Sharma added that out of total posts of 37 of Assistant Professor in Chemistry, 28 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 09 candidates have been selected from Jammu. In the RBA category out of total of 21 posts 18 candidates are from Kashmir province while 03 is from Jammu.Dr Vikas Sharma said that out of total posts of 56 of Assistant Professor in EVS,39 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 17 candidates have been selected from Jammu. In the RBA category out of total of 20 posts 13 candidates are from Kashmir province while 07 is from Jammu.
Dr.Vikas also informed that out of total posts of 58 of Assistant Professor in Education, 47 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 11 candidates have been selected from Jammu. In the RBA category out of total of 21 posts 18 candidates are from Kashmir province and 03 candidates have been selected from Jammu.Disclosing the share of posts of Assistant Professor Arabic, found in the selection list issued by Public Service Commission, Sharma informed the press media that out of total posts of 14 of Assistant Professor in Arabic, 11 candidates have been selected from Kashmir and 03 candidates have been selected from Jammu.Pertinently, earlier the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission had announced results of Urdu, History, Commerce, Geography, Zoology, BBA,Mathematics, Physics, Sericulture and English, in which most of the selected candidates were from Kashmir province, he said.Dr Vikas Sharma flayed the PDP-BJP coalition government for meting step-motherly treatment to the people of Jammu. He particularly took to the task BJP MLAs for maintaining stoic silence on the issue and reiterated demand for statehood to Jammu. He alleged that people of Jammu were facing worst kind of discrimination at the hands of Kashmiri rulers and asked them to get united to launch a comprehensible struggle to get rid of all the ills.
