Charak demands property audit of Pujaris

JAMMU: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) today vowed to continue agitation to press government for constitution of Shrine Board Bawe wali Mata temple.Addressing a press conference here at Press Club of Jammu, Rajeev Charak president BFDC said that 72-hour dharan was concluded but agitation remains continue."It's a wake-up call for people sitting at helm of affairs, movement was initiated by BFDC but now its gets support from people across the state and several organizations joined this campaign not only for development of Bawe Wali Mata Shrine but for Jammu city, which is no verge of losing its identity due to direct train to Katra and construction of Cheneni-Nashri tunnel.He said in coming days BFDC along with its other supporters submit memorandums to Governor, Chief Minister, cabinet Minister and legislators. He said beside this metting and awareness programs would be held at mohalla and village level.He said that despite the site have been declared as protected monument a large scale construction work took place inside the fort. He said government should audit the property of Pujaris , who use the temple donation to establish business empires and real estate.
He said Bahu Fort is pictrious town situated in the city along River Tawi. It is just 2 kilometer far from Railway Station and Bus Stand. Landscape of the town is unmatched to any other city in country.
The Bagh-E Bahu Garden and North India's bigger underground fish aquarium makes it standout but unfortunately, the town not gets its due in development. If shrine board is constituted the area will be develop as prime tourist attraction , with upcoming projects like 7D theater, Bahu-Mubarak Mandi Rope way project and laser show. He said in coming days the agitation change its roadmap and aware people by camping in various areas of state.
He said with hashtag #shrineboard4bawetemple this campaign will went globally and people of Jammu living in other parts of country or abroad posted their views and comments in favour of shrine board.
He asked the government to constitution of a trust for all the Hindu Shrines on the same platform as like "Wakf Board" for the real development. He said that it is very important for all the residents of Jammu to support for this noble cause because if the board is constituted many developmental works take place which will generate employment for the youth and also benefits other sectors of society like hotel business, tour & travel business, & other business.Charak also thanked religious and social organizations include Kranti Dal, Saryara Sabha Bahu Fort, Hotel and Lodges Association, Shri Ram Sena, International Manch, Samaj Kalyan, Rular Women Association, Rashtaraywadi Shiv Send, Data Ranpat Dev Committee Birpur, Charak Biradari, All India Kiasan Sabha, Dogra Sabha Gorkha Nagar, New Colony Association Bahu Fort, Auto Union Railway Station Jammu and others for extending support to BFDC. Prominent who were present includes Ishant Gupta Spokesman, Hardesh Khokher & Ishant Mahajan Vice Presidents, Kranti Dal President Pritam Sharma, Karnail Chand, Rinku Sharma, & others.Charak also thanked people of Jammu, print, online and electronic media for supporting the cause and hope that people will support this movement in future also. Charak said that now we will going to launch our campaign at all universities/colleges/schools, will meet trade unions, Industrialists/businessman's, transporters, all devotional organizations, Satsang Committees, Bar association, Chamber of commerce and other sectors of the society.
