Our visit has cleared many misconceptions: Karyala

JAMMU: Led by Sukumaran Karyala, Co-Ordinator & Trustee Kerala State National Youth Project, alongwith a group of sixty members of the organization, arrived at Jammu on the invitation of Updesh Andotra, State Coordinator, National Youth Project. The objective of the visit is to have personal interaction with the local people associated with different fields and professions like tourism, industry, education, culture, women & youth development and have assessment of the problems being faced by them besides seeking facts related to the ground realities prevailing in the state and the role of the various organizations in neutralizing anti-social elements and their activities.
Sukumaran Karyala, while interacting with the local social activists and the office bearers of ruling BJP, said that while sitting in Kerala, they were having the view that the people of Jammu & Kashmir state are made to suffer loss of lives and properties due to the militancy and it was a general concept that the entire state is burning but after arrival at Jammu, many misconceptions have been cleared.
"Here in Jammu, we found peace and normal life going well and the people carrying on their day to day activities fearlessly. He said that the personal visit presents the real picture and the same has been experienced by our team",
Sukumaran said and added that the organizations like theirs should contribute in educating the people to maintain social harmony and help the needy to get benefits of the welfare schemes to earn livelihood.
Earlier, the members of the visiting team were accorded rousing reception by Updesh Andotra, BJP senior leader Rajeev Charak, State Secretary Anuradha Charak, Mahila Morcha District President Rekha Mahajan, National Youth Project District General Secretary Monika Jasrotia and had their interactions with the visiting team.
