Meritorius students of Govt. Girls School Canal Road felicitated

Jammu: A prize distribution ceremony was organized by Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Canal road in which students who secured good percentage in Class 10th, 11th and 12th were felicitated. Apart from meritorious students, those who excelled in co curricular activities of school were also honored by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) was the Chief Guest in the program. He was also accompanied by Guest of Honor Chairman SJC & Corporator Jeet Angral, Principal Praveen Raina and many others including school staff, students, social and political activists of the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma bestowed his blessings on the achievements of children. He said every little achievement means a lot in children’s life. He advised the winners to sustain position which they have achieved and for those who couldn’t make into any category of achievement need to be more determined and pay adequate attention to the small things in life. He exhorted that they should not deteriorate from their path and keep moving ahead into a right direction. He also advised children to stay away from the menace of drugs and also appealed them to spread the message amongst others as well so that our future generations could progressively work for a better and prosperous nation.

Jeet Angral also appreciated the efforts of prize winners and stressed on the need to work hard with complete sincerity and dedication. He also expressed happiness about overwhelming performances of students and asked them to respect everyone in their lives. He also lauded the efforts of the teachers for giving their best to prepare the future generation to deal with challenges of life.

The function culminated with the spirited singing of the national anthem.

Deepak Kumar, Dr. Surjit Singh, Shiv Charan Sharma, Manmohan Sharma, Kamlesh Mishra, Kuldeep Kumar, Varindner Dogra, Anil Angral and several others were also present.
