Jammu, Oct 20, 2019: Jammu and Kashmir Unity Foundation has appealed the people of Jammu and Kashmir to observe Black Day on Oct 22, 2019 to remember the sacrifices of lakhs of Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims to defeat the invasion of the of the Princely State spearheaded by Pakistan Army in 1947 erroneously described as Tribal Invasion. The seventh seminar in a series titled “Pakistan’s Military Invasion not Tribal Raid of Jammu and Kashmir will be organized on Oct 22 at Press Club Jammu at 4 p.m.
In a press statement issued here Ajaat Jamwal, president JKUF alongwith expert speakers will dwell at length the atrocities committed by the Pakistani army on the people of Jammu and it becomes more relevant in the present times when Govt. of India took a historic decision to neuter the regressive Article 370 and integrate the Jammu and Kashmir State fully into India. He said that designs of the Rogue State Pakistan have to be defeated which through terrorist regimes working in Kashmir are enforcing Civil Curfew and self lock up disrupting normal life in valley.
Jamwal said that Pakistan is adopting the same strategy it adopted in 1947, 1965, 1999 i.e. pushing non-state actors, terrorist inside Jammu and Kashmir and disrupting the normal lives of the people of the State. He urged the people of Kashmir to defy the Civil Curfew and also asked the state administration to foil the designs of anti-nationals and anti-peace elements in the Valley.
Jamwal said that Pakistan did the entire mobilization of tribals and army in the name of Jihad and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent speech in United Nations has exposed the same mindset even after 72 years. It will be very proper to describe the 1947 invasion of Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan as the first Jihad unleashed after the Independence of India on 15 August 1947.
JKUF appealed all the victims of Pakistani Jihad in Jammu and Kashmir, India and abroad to observe Oct 22 as a Black Day to name and shame Pakistan.
